Steel coil core

What is a steel coil core?

Steel coils core have a metal that amplifies the magnetic field. Compared to air coils, smaller, cheaper coils with higher inductance and lower ohmic resistance can be implemented. But the steel core also affects the music signal (e.g. through unwanted distortion).

What is steel band used for?

Steel coils core used by various industries as this type of metal is ideal for building panels, walls, roof panels, power plants, ships and various other projects and construction companies. In addition to different sizes of steel coils, there are also two different main types: Cold-rolled steel coils.

Steel spiral core

Steel coils core made from a finished steel product such as sheet or strip, which coiled or coiled after rolling; the width much greater than the thickness. Depending on the manufacturing process, steel strip can be classified as hot-rolled, cold-rolled or galvanized.

Sheet metal and sheet metal products made from different grades of steel. Each with its own unique properties and beneficial properties.

Whether you’re looking for hot-rolled, cold-rolled, galvanized, treaded, or many other steel and sheet metal options and services. There are steel or sheet metal options to meet your project’s unique specifications.

At Hebei Shineyond, we supply sheets and plates in various lengths, widths, gauges, alloys and dimensions to meet your material needs. For more information on the benefits and applications of sheet steel and plate, please contact the sheet steel supplier and we will be happy to answer your specific questions.

How big is a steel coil core?

Steel coils are available in 20″, 24″ and 48″ widths for painted and galvanized steel coils.

How heavy is a steel coil?

between approximately 7 and 15 tons

Each coil usually weighs between 7 and 15 tons, depending on the length and thickness of the coating. Rolls weighing up to 30 tons are not uncommon

How are steel strips made?

Hot rolled steel coils are produced by hot rolling in hot strip mills, which can be semi-continuous, continuous, reversible or non-reversible. Rolls can also be produced by compact tape manufacturing.

Cold-rolled steel coils core are produced from hot-rolled coils by rolling them in continuous or reverse rolling without preheating. Cold rolling ensures very precise dimensions and high surface quality of the coiled steel, as well as a wider range of mechanical properties. The biggest buyers of cold-rolled coils are construction, automotive and household machinery.

How many types of steel coils core are there?

With the experience accumulated during these years, ANSON classifies steel coils into hot-rolled and cold-rolled types, or stainless steel coils, carbon spirals and galvanized steel according to current products and international standards.

What types of steel coils core are there?

There are 2 different types of ‘coil’; one has copper (IUD) and the other contains hormone (Mirena IUS). Both provide over 99% protection against pregnancy.

What is galvanized steel coil?

Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet and coil are made of carbon steel coated with zinc in the hot-dip galvanizing process. The end result of this process is a layer of zinc on either side of the steel plate or coil, which is firmly bonded to the steel by the formation of an iron-zinc alloy coating.

To select the legal steel coil core:

The sound characteristics of a coil are determined not only by the coil wire and manufacturing quality, but also by the coil core used. Since using different cores creates coils with different advantages and disadvantages, we offer four core materials and a total of seven core types. This allows us to manufacture just the right coil for every application. To avoid microphonic effects, all Mundorf coils are wound on an underwire. This mechanically stabilizes the winding, decouples the coil from the circuit board and also simplifies the manufacturing process.

air coils

The ideal core material for coils is air. For physical reasons, air-core coils are superior to all metal-core coils in terms of accurate impulse reproduction and freedom from distortion. They can used in any field; either as a high-pass filter in the mid-range, as a bass coil (with large wire cross-section) or in correction components (with thin wire cross-section).

Precision, dynamics, fine tonal transitions, richness of detail and liveliness set air coils apart from all others. In high-quality speakers, they therefore form the basis for realistic and harmonious music enjoyment.

Ferrite cores sintered from a metal-plastic powder. The German HP3616 ferrite material we use offers significantly higher performance than the Asian cores used in many other products. It characterized low base distortion and fast magnetic reversibility (= change in field direction). The music signal hardly delayed, which makes coils with a ferrite core perfect for correcting components (so-called peaking coils) and in the mid-frequency range.

The only ferrite material we have tested so far, HP3616, meets our high requirements in terms of elasticity and distortion factor and is therefore also suitable for use in the mid-bass range for lower amplifier power Aronite cores (also called P cores) made of high density metal ceramic powder. The Wicon ferrite rods made in Germany give extremely little deformation even under very high loads. Their very compact dimensions, low internal resistance and excellent price/performance ratio make them particularly suitable as bass and subwoofer coils and for PA applications.

Ferron cores

consist of an iron-silicon alloy (also called electrical plates). Our high quality transformer sheets rolled and stamped several times using a special process so that all crystals oriented in the same direction (grain oriented) and a uniform crystal lattice structure created. Mundorf iron core coils differ measurably and audibly from conventional similar coils. They are characterized minimal fundamental distortion, core losses and high performance distortion and therefore suitable for flexible applications.

Zero Ohm coils (ZOC) are a specialty of our company. In ZOC, an air gap between two Feron sheet stacks manually calibrated and fine-tuned. The air gap determines the inductance of the coil and requires great accuracy in manufacturing. The high production costs of ZOC always justified when the highest fidelity in the impulse reproduction of the display required. This special shape of the Feron core coil helps achieve lower internal resistance compared to other core types.
